So long it's been, my friends,
Since we last met,
haven't even seen you still,
such is our fate.
There's not much reason,
for this bad turn of events,
but loss of old friends,
is what one truly laments,
we do plan, we do try,
but we still haven't met,
haven't even seen you still,
such is out fate.
Like well hit billiard balls,
we're all over the place,
each one bound to his own,
destiny and quest,
when we stop and take a look back,
we see those golden days,
those days may be gone,
we can accept,
but haven't even seen you still,
such is our fate.
I remember those late night matches,
friends temporarily turned foes,
Those frequent long walks to hotels,
and a tear silently rolls,
last minute gallop to attend a morning class,
and then shouting,'let's bunk in mass!'
those canteens and shops
and insects and food,
only because you friends,
it used to feel good,
We were there for each other,
in our toughest days,
in anyone's needy times,
there were no nays,
we laughed and we danced
and we teased and we wept,
we fought and we helped
and secrets that we kept,
if in thick and thin,
friends we all remained,
even fate will have to yield,
one day, we'll surely, meet again, my friends!!!
